3D





For the 3D we had to model something using the 3D software Maya. i decided to model the sox hats you see to your left. to model i needed a front view of the image and the side view image. i assign these picture on to a poloygon plane and set them perpendicular to each other. after that i used a sphere and a cube to create the hat. I cut the sphere in half and the when in to the vertices mode and match the points up to the out like of the hat so that i get the basic shape. for the brim of the hat  i used a cube and added sub-divisions width wise. then i went in to the vertices mode and marketed around some point and moved them around to get the cube to look more like a brim. then with some help from kevin i created the sox symbol by extruding the faces that were cut using the split polygon tool. then  I changed the color of the sox symbol and the tip of the brim of the hat to white. while the rest of the hat was black.
